Diamond Necklaces and Jewelry Take Center Stage at the Golden Globes

From Beyonce’s diamond necklace to Jennifer Lopez’s earrings, diamonds and diamond jewelry ruled the red carpet at the 66th Golden Globe Awards.

Eve Mendes showed up in a Navajo-inspired turquoise necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels. Van Cleef & Arpels also supplied barely-there diamond studs for January Jones, who looked stunning in an electric-blue one-shoulder gown by Versace.

But the star of the evening was Lorraine Schwartz, who supplied much of the evening’s dazzling jewelry, including a pair of long green earrings for Amy Adams and a fringed diamond necklace for Beyonce. Schwartz also provided an outsized bejeweled diamond necklace for Christina Applegate, who looked stunning in her golden strapless Roberto Cavalli gown.

Other stars chose to go the more tasteful route: Kate Winslet wore 10-carat Chopard earrings, while Anne Hathaway’s diamond and sapphire earrings gave her a chic, retro look. Freida Pinto wore dangling gold and diamond statement earrings, which complemented her mustard-colored frock.

Topping the worst-dressed list? Jennifer Lopez’s open-neck dress and Glenn Close’s alien-like pantsuit.
